Description of the tour

The tour starts at the end of Zgorigrad village. Our main destination is one of the famous waterfalls in the region – “Borov kamak”.

The tour follows the gorge of Leva river. For the first kilometer we walk on a forest road and the elevation gain is small.

Then we leave the road and cross the stream for the first time. The path for the next hour is steep and passes several wooden bridges and ladders.

Along the trail, attentive observers will find an incredible biodiversity of flowers, different species of ferns and interesting plants.

The path winds through beech forest, and we are listening the babble of the water all the time.

The views of water cascades prepare us for the big attraction of the day. Step by step we will reach a rock wall with a height of 63 m from which the water falls with roar.

If the conditions are appropriate, we are going to pass behind the waterfall. It is a wonderfully refreshing feeling when the spray of nebulizing water tingles your face.

Here is the last easy, but impressive climbing. A ladder will lead us to the top of the rock. This point is wonderful for taking photos.

After a short walk, we reach a meadow with a refuge. This is the place for longer rest and lunch (out of your backpack).

The trail back gets us back in the forest. The tour goes downhill, and after another hour and a half we will be back at the starting point.
