Hello! My name is Sergey Aleksandrov!
I was born in Sofia in 1986. There I finished my secondary education in National High School of Mathematics and Science in Mathematics and Informatics class. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Faculty of Biology of Sofia University. Then I decided to acquire also a qualification in the field of nature-oriented tourism. Since 2011 I live in city of Gabrovo.
I have been working in Central Balkan National Directorate since 2011 as an expert in Biodiversity department. My main tasks in the park are connected with biodiversity monitoring, uses of medicinal plants and livestock grazing, planning in tourism, reporting for the Bulgarian component of Serial UNESCO World Heritage Property “Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe” (situated entirely in Central Balkan NP), reporting for core and buffer zones of Central Balkan Biosphere reserve.
I like to lead tourist groups to my favourite places in the mountains and cities. I have led groups of children and students on educational trips in the mountains. I have guided tourist groups and park’s guests in all park sections of Central Balkan National Park. In my spare time I organize and guide voluntary trips to the mountains and cities for the citizens of Gabrovo. I am keen on the development of sustainable forms of transport and tourism.
