How to reach Central Balkan?
Central Balkan National Park is located in the central part of Bulgaria and it is easy accessible.
The distance from big cities (Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse) varies depending on the selected entrance of the park*.
The closest to Sofia park’s entrance is at a distance of 100 km, the closest to Plovdiv 60 km, and to Varna approx. 200 km.
The southern towns of Klisura, Sopot, Karlovo, Kalofer and Pavel banya and villages of Anton, Rozino, Hristo Danovo, Karnare and Tazha, where start touristic routes for Central Balkan entrances, can be accessed by train form Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna.
The northern towns of Teteven, Troyan, Apriltsi and Sevlievo and village of Ribaritsa are connected with Sofia by direct bus service.
Local bus lines serve the villages of Chiflika, Cherni Osam and Stokite.
